COVID-19 Return to Activities Preparedness Plan for Minnesota Dragon Boat Club as of May 17, 2021

17 May 2021 by Ginny Moran

The Minnesota Dragon Boat Club recognizes that our individual and community health depends on our choices and actions. Our ability to stay safer is only as strong as our shared commitment to each other. We are asking each of you to be flexible and adopt behaviors to support the well-being of our community and keep each other as healthy and protected as possible. Our Return to Activities Plan is based on guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health and other government directives, the United States Dragon Boat Federation, Dragon Boat Canada, and the International Dragon Boat Federation, along with our own concern and care for the safety of our membership, in tandem with our mission to “provide education, training and competition for a medley of paddlers and experience levels.” We each have a role to play in our culture of mutual care, accountability, and safety.

The Minnesota Dragon Boat Club recommends all members intending to participate in club events and activities be fully vaccinated, following MDH and CDC guidelines. Beyond that, the following is a summary of our current policies for our Return to Activities.

All efforts will be made to retain the confidentiality of anyone testing positive in accordance with the ADA.
